Roberto Fernández Ibáñez

Roberto G. Fernández Ibáñez was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, en 1955.  He studied Chemistry, and he is self-taught in Photography.
He develops and prints using his own formulas, giving to each image a unique atmosphere.
He designs and makes artist’ books that include haiku and prose of his authorship, drawing, calligraphy, photography and mixed media.

His work was exhibited in Uruguay, Argentine, Brazil, Paraguay, United States of America, The Caribbean, Spain, France, Malaysia and The Netherlands.
He was Honored Guest at FotoFest '92 Houston, Texas U.S.A., and he received the Discoveries Prize Revelation Portfolio 2004 at the Festival of Light, Argentine.
He was selected to FotoFest International Discoveries 2007, Houston, Texas, U.S.A.
First Prize at V Municipal Salon of Arts, Montevideo, Uruguay.

He received the Morosoli Award in Arts (Uruguayan cultural award in art, science and investigation) in recognition to his artistic trajectory and contribution to the Uruguayan culture.
